Reuben Torres, Board of Freeholders candidate for Essex County New Jersey, is the first candidate for elected office in the United States to execute an Honesty Contract with the Citizens of the United States.

One aspect of our proposed plan for dealing with government and judicial corruption is to ask all elected and appointed government officials and all political candidates to sign an Honesty Contract with the Citizens of the United States of America.

Reuben made the commitment on a radio broadcast on March 3, 2011.  He was the first candidate ever asked to sign, and he did!

Let’s hope Reuben Torres becomes the answer to a trivia question in years to come.

steensland-john-cropped-300w

Retired District Court Judge John Steensland Jr. is set to stand trial after being accused of 60 separate violations of the Alabama Canon of Judicial Ethics by the Judicial Inquiry Commission.

The Judiciary Inquiry Commission has accused Steensland of cursing in court, ridiculing people who appeared before him, and placing a woman in jail even though she had no arrest warrant.

Steensland had sought a delay on grounds that the Judicial Inquiry Commission is reviewing additional complaints against him that could trigger more charges.

The commission opposed a delay because more than 20 witnesses have been subpoenaed for next week’s trial.

On February 22, 2011, The U.S. Supreme Court issued an order in Docket No. 10-411 in which the justices refused to honor their oath to defend the Constitution.

Each justice took oaths required to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic” and to “bear true faith and allegiance to the same.”

But in the fifth petition presented to The Supreme Court in the last three months asking the Court to declare that federal judges do not have the right to ignore the Constitution, the Court refused again.
