A Rankin County Mississippi (Jackson Mississippi) attorney who misappropriated more than $1 million dollars from a guardianship account is back in the Hinds County Detention Center.
That’s because Hinds County Chancery Judge Dwayne Thomas added an additional $150,000 to Michael Brown’s bond and ordered him to repay the guardianship of Demon McClinton.
Demon McClinton is the grandson of civil rights legend Aaron Henry.
Michael Brown was supposed to put a $3 million dollar inheritance into a guardianship account for McClinton.
Instead, Judge Dwayne Thomas says Michael Brown mishandled more than a million dollars.
Court records show Michael Brown loaned $550,000 to a Linus Shackleford and borrowed more than $507,000 for himself.
Judge Dwayne Thomas also ordered Michael Brown to repay more than $300,000 in fraudulent attorney fees.
