Lawless America…The Movie – Lucky 7 Days until Movie Road Trip Begins

number-7-200w

Lawless America…The Movie begins filming in less than a week.

My computer has been essentially out of commission for three days.  Dell managed to get it working again today at about 3 pm.

The clock is ticking.  The 143-day production road trip begins in just 7 days.

This 50-state film trip begins on June 14, 2012, and the pandemic of government corruption will be exposed for the world to see.

Work on this film project began in March.  June 14 always loomed on the horizon, but now that the trip begins in less than a week, there aren’t words to describe the shape the project is in.

Project Update for June 7, 2012

After three days with essentially no use of my computer, Dell managed to get me fixed this afternoon about 3.

I think the problem is that Outlook email just wasn’t designed to have 80,000+ emails living in it.

If you haven’t received a response from me, please understand why.  I will respond whenever I can get to it.

If you are one of the hundreds of new folks who have emailed asking to be in the movie, the answer is Yes.  Simply email your name, address, telephones, and website (if any).  This will be confidential to me, so don’t worry.  You will then receive more information.  Should you fail to receive subsequent emails, we dropped the ball, so just show up on the day we film in your state capital.

Tonight’s TalkShoe show will be limited to Q&A about the movie.

There are projects that I consider important that will not be done before I leave.  If you can volunteer to handle one aspect of the trip/movie while I am on the road, I will be forever indebted to you, as will those in the movie.  Sam is handling tech support.  Renee says she is going to handle PR.  I need someone to handle the master database clean-up and maintenance.  I need someone to handle Facebook (hopefully Michelle).  I need someone to coordinate the student crew communication.  I need someone to ensure that the college student helper is contactig every State Capitol for a room for the filming.  I need someone to be responsible for working with others to identify additional people to be in the movie.  I need one person to be responsible for sending bulk email to invite all state legislators to be in the movie and to attempt to get candidates who are not incumbents to appear to be filmed.  I need someone to handle promotion to the international media.  That’s seven volunteers.  I hope there are seven of you who can help out.

Project Update for June 6, 2012

I have so much to do, and now I am two days’ further behind.  I just pray that the disk repair currently running on my desktop PC will repair the Outlook file.  I seem to have been able to back-up all of my documents, but just about everything that needs to be done at this point is in that email.

About all I accomplished today was to order a few basics needed for the trip.  The entire day was spent backing up daa, transfering data to the laptop for the trip…hoping it would magically transfer the email.  It didn’t.  Error messages led me to disk repair, and that’s been running for hours.

Project Update for June 5, 2012

I am frantically backing up my computer — something that has been on my To Do List for months.  I was greeted this morning with a message saying that my hard drive may be failing.

I am concerned that McAfee may not have intercepted a virus because the set-up of my computer appears to be dramatically changed.  My email will not open.  The email file is not letteing me save it.  Dejavu all over again.

Not good.

My stomach still aches.  I plan to try to host the regular Tuesday night TalkShoe show tonight, but I may not be able to hang in there for two hours.

There’s not much more to report today.  Problems getting hotels set up.  Problems getting approval to film at some State Capitols.  Hoping my new college student assistants are blazing trails on their projects.

This #9 is really scary.  There is still much to be done….

Project Update for June 4, 2012

There aren’t adequate words left to describe how stressful each day is as we race to June 14.

The clock is ticking way too fast.

I worked on a wide variety of things today and didn’t feel that I completed much of anything.

Lots of extrenal frustrations!

I’m going back to work — just wanted you folks to know I hadn’t forgotten you.

Project Update for June 3, 2012

I am pleased to report that we are being contacted by a wide variety of media people — primarily local newspapers and TV stations in various states.  I hope this is just the beginning of significant media coverage.

Four students were sent assignments last night, and they began working this morning.  This is a great relief to me as these guys should get their tasks done.

I am just too busy to write any more.  I encourage everyone who is to be filmed to tune in to the TalkShoe broadcasts this week — Tuesday and Thursday 10-midnight Eastern Time and Sunday 5-7 pm Eastern Time.  That way, you will hear all the latest, and you will benefit from hearing questions and answers, and you can ask your own questions by phone or by chat.  please tune in to learn how we can all make this a huge success.

Project Update for June 2, 2012

I called in the Cavalry today.  I am hiring several Radio-TV-Film students to work as paid assistants for the next month.  I could kick myself for not doing this sooner.  These students are being given the projects that volunteers have not accomplished.  I wanted to save all of our funds for expenses and work that volunteers could not provide, but that approach hasn’t worked.  We should be okay with these young people hitting the ground running on Monday.

I don’t know what to make of all the people who have said they want to be filmed, and then they don’t respond to our emails requesting the most basic information.  I hate to just cut people off, but I’m afraid I have reached the point where I will simply refuse to film those who did not extend the courtesy of responding to my simple requests.

I have been approached by a second legitimate source for funding.

A few minutes’ thought was given today to a short delay in the start date.  A dear friend suggested something that my clouded head hadn’t even considered.  Rather than re-do all 143-days, I could simply skip the first few towns and move them to the end of the road trip.  For now, I’m sticking with June 14, but should I decide that a short delay is imperative, I could just start the filming on Jue 24 in Richmond, Virginia.

The movie and the testimony to Congress should lead to justice for some of the victims like you.  If you aren’t in the testimony presented to Congress, you will miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.  We are going to have mainstream media coverage, and the film will be shown at Sundance and other major film festivals prior to being shown in theatres.  We are going to pound every state and federal elected official to investigate and act.  We will be relentless.

Anyone who doesn’t want to be filmed is asked to please send me an email to let me know.  The road trip begins in less than 12 days, and we must concentrate on those who are committed.

If you have provided the information that we have requested, please disregard these requests.  But if you haven’t sent us everything that we need, here’s a quick checklist:

  • If you haven’t provided the basic information, I am BEGGING you to reply to this email with the information we need.  If you have not sent me your address, city, state, zip, and phone, PLEASE send it.  It will be kept confidential, but I can’t schedule you unless I know where you are.  We also need a phone number so we can contact you a day or two in advance of the filming.
  • Please send us anything that you have in Microsoft Word or email text format from which we can draft a three-minute summary for you.
  • If you would like us to have your photo for possible use on the website in a story, please send a jpg by email.
  • If you would like to have us film locations that are important to your story, please send us names and addresses, and provide a sentence explaining the significance.  (For example, Fulton County Courthouse, 136 Pryor Street, Atlanta, GA 30303 – location where I was forcibly removed from the courthouse and threatened with arrest.)
  • Please send the names and contact information for any other victims who you feel would be good to interview so they can tell their story.

I no longer have the time to answer phone calls or respond to very many emails.  So, please tune in to my TalkShoe shows – Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10-midnight Eastern Time and Sundays 5-7 pm — http://www.talkshoe.com/talkshoe/web/talkCast.jsp?masterId=115884&cmd=tc – You can ask any questions you like and hear the questions of others.  To speak, dial 724-444-7444; Call ID is 115884 #, Pin is 1 #, unless you have registered and have a TalkShoe Pin (and in that case, you use that Pin).  If you do not have unlimited long distance, enter your phone number in the chat on TalkShoe, and I will call you during the show so it won’t cost you anything.

It is also very important for you to read the new information on the daily updates that I am posting on www.LawlessAmerica.com.  Here’s the latest article — https://www.lawlessamerica.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=922;lawless-americathe-movie-50-states-21849-miles-starring-750-nobodies-road-trip-begins-in-14-days&catid=133;lawless-america-the-movie&Itemid=105 – Be sure to read these as this will be my main means of communicating to everyone for the next 12 days before I leave and then the 143 days on the road.

If you have not yet been sent a login and password for your Movie Listing Page, I will do so in the next few days.  Here is an example of these pages — https://www.lawlessamerica.com/index.php?option=com_sobipro&pid=54&sid=58;William-Michael-Windsor&Itemid=104

Everyone will receive an email from me advising you where and when you will be filmed.  This page shows the Itinerary in chronological order — https://www.lawlessamerica.com/https://lawlessamerica.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/movie-trip-itinerary-2012-05-31-short-version.pdf — You will be filmed in your state capital city on the date that shows numbers in the “Subject” column unless other arrangements have been made.  We will start each day at 9 am and film until 6 pm.  www.LawlessAmerica.com will always provide the location and directions for each film location, so be sure to check the site.

If you are in New York, please advise if you wish to be filmed in Albany or in the New York City area.  If you are in California, please advise if you wish to be filmed in Lake Tahoe, Sacramento, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Anaheim, or San Diego.

Ladies and gentlemen, we need all of you to participate.  Our big numbers are a big part of this story.  Media folks I have spoken with are blown away by the numbers, so we need you!

The phone number in the vehicle will be currently confidential, and we will answer that phone when we aren’t filming.  Please respect our limited time; call with important matters, and save your stories until we meet for the 30-60-minute on-camera interview.

Project Update for June 1, 2012

There are now over 1,000 victims on the list of those who have asked to be filmed, and they keep pouring in.

The exciting news for the day is that after months of less than spectacular results seeking donations, The Raven Media Group has committed to provide the funding for the movie project.  Raven will help us take the movie to a whole new level.  They want me to get an RV with a professional film crew, and we are talking about adding a second film crew that will be dedicated to filming B-Roll (filming of key locations in the victims’ stories).

Confirmations are coming in from Choice Hotels — much slower than I would like, but I hope Monday will be a big day for confirmations.

I’m working on the media databases for our publicity efforts.  There is sooooo much to do!

Project Update for May 31, 2012

As I write this, the movie trip will have already started…just two weeks from today.  I hit the highway at 2:00 pm on June 14, 2012.

Choice Hotels is working with us to provide accommodations and places for filming.  So, faxes are flying out all over the country seeking to make the arrangements with each hotel.  It appears that Comfort Suites will be the primary hotel brand used.  Humongous thank you to John and Irina who are donating a lot of points to provide many free room nights.  Wonderful donation!!!

If you have questions about the movie, please join me Tuesday or Thursday night on TalkShoe from 10-midnight Eastern time.

Project Updated for May 30, 2012

I have sent projects out to a dozen volunteers.  These are projects that former volunteers did not get done.  If you receive one of these projects, PLEASE do it, or let me know that you can’t.

Please note the slightly revised Itinerary for Lawless America…The Movie.  There will still be some tweaks in California and New York.

I am trying to convince my wife to join me for much of the trip.

If you have questions about the movie, please join me tonight on TalkShoe from 10-midnight Eastern time.

Tomorrow is going to be Public Relations day for me.  I wil complete all of the news releases and post them on the site for anyone to use to help promote the movie, or to modify to promote their participation in the movie.  Then I will spend the day cleaning up the media databases thnat we have for each state, and I will post those as well.

I look forward to receiving a couple of spy tools that have been recommended to me.  One of them is amazing — can’t wait to give it a try.  I won’t tell anyone about this until after the trip is over because I don’t want the bad guys to know all of our tricks.

I am anxiously awaiting word from two hotel chains so we can finalize our hotel selection.  For now, it appears that Choice Hotels is our best deal.  They have approved filming, and their legal department will provide agreements to allow us to use their logos.  As sweet as the PR rep is from Hyatt, it appears that we will be too limited with them.  Extended Stay America has yet to come back with a proposal, so they are possible.  We also hope to hear from Marriott.

Project Update for May 29, 2012

On last night’s TalkShoe show, we heard the story of Wendi and her Dad, just a grandpa (a lot like me).  Please sign her petition.

I can’t believe thia trip begins in 16 days.  There is way too much to be done.  But, whatever gets done will be done, and we will just have to live with the rest.  On June 14, the road trip begins…ready or not.

I have made a huge dent on the thousands of emails in my inbox from participants in the movie.  That has been my primary focus for the past few days.  Unfortunately, the emails come in as fast as I can clear them out…or faster.

If some brave soul wants to volunteer to handle my email during the 143 days of the trip, please apply NOW.

The Jeep is being “wrapped.”  Here is a rough idea of what it will look like.

I need to take some photos to show what the Intergalactic Headquarters of Lawless America looks like.  Big piles of stuff everywhere.

Donations:  We will fail with Kickstarter.  As a result, we get nothing, and none of those pledges will be charged.  So, if you would be so kind, please make your donation by PayPal — or mail a check to B. Windsor, PO Box 681236, Marietta, GA 30068.  THANK YOU!

Volunteers

Does anyone want to serve as the Public Relations Manager for the movie?  You will need a high-speed Internet connection, a computer that can run 24-hours-a-day, Microsoft Excel, Outlook 2010, and an add-in that we will pay for called Email Merge Pro for Outlook.  You will issue a news release every day for the 143 days.  It only take five minutes to set up, but then your computer will send the emails out at a rate of three every two minutes for much of the day.  It will not interfere with your regular email as all emails that you send personally will go to the top of the queue and will go out immediately.

Does anyone want to do site scraping to capture email addresses from television stations and newspapers in each state?  I can provide a list of the URLs.  All you need is site scraper software that will process a list of urls to scrape email addresses.

Would someone volunteer to respond to the Facebook messages that I have?  I just never have time to deal with those, and there are many people requesting to be filmed.  I will provide you with my facebook login and password and several standard replies.  Just start at the top and work your way through.

Project Update for May 28, 2012

Happy Memorial Day.

I feel like I finally have a handle on processing all of the email from movie participants.  I moved all of that email into a separate folder, and now I am working that folder.  I’ve managed to whitle it down to 1,470 emails, and I’ll stay at it.

I continue to receive MANY new requests to be in the movie every day.  It slowed for a while, but it has picked up again.  I’d estimate that I have been getting at least 10 a day.

I have been hearing from more news media in South Carolina (state #1) as we have sent a lot of emails there.  So far, we have two network TV stations planning to cover us filming and several others.

Big stacks of supplies are piling up in my office/studio and in our laundry room — everything from hand sanitizer to tools to batteries to granola bars.  As my wife and I did a 50-state road trip in 2003, we have an excellent handle on what’s needed.  In fact, I have written articles about it for road trip publications.  In 2003, we set Rules of the Road, and I will develop rules for this trip, too.

I’m checking into whether I can stream a dash cam on the Internet from the Jeep.  I’m pretty sure I have everything needed.  Should any “law enforcement” officers stop me for any reason, the inside of the Jeep will be one gigantic Candid Camera.  I will not exceed the speed limit.  I am an excellent driver.  I haven’t had a traffic ticket in about 15 years, and that included the 29,450-mile 50-state trip in 2003.

The Going-Away Lunch on June 14 will be at 12 noon at Dickey’s Barbeque in Roswell, Georgia.  Please come.  BYOLM.  Bring Your Own Lunch Money.

Back-Up Camera — Does anyone want to loan me a HD video camera to use as a backup?

State Chairmen Update

We have filled many other positions.  But here is what we need at this time: South Carolina – Columbia, North Carolina – Raleigh, Tennessee – Nashville, Delaware – Dover, Massachusetts – Boston, New Hampshire – Concord, Maine – Augusta, Vermont – Montpelier, Ohio – Cleveland, Indiana – Indianapolis, Illinois – Chicago, Wisconsin – Madison, Minnesota – St. Paul, South Dakota – Pierre, North Dakota – Bismarck, Montana, Idaho – Boise, Alaska – Anchorage, Nevada – Reno, California – Santa Barbara, California – San Diego, Arizona – Tucson, Arizona – Phoenix, Arizona – Flagstaff, Utah, Colorado – Colorado Springs, Texas – Austin, Texas – Houston, Texas – Dallas, Arkansas, Tennessee – Memphis, Mississippi – Jackson, Alabama – Mobile, Alabama – Montgomery, Hawaii – Honolulu.

If you can be in one of these towns from 8 am to 6 pm on filming day to assist me, you are badly needed.  I have to have someone in every city.

Technical Support Now Available

BIG thanks to Sam, one of the victims who will be filmed, as he has volunteered to provide technical support to those in the movie who are having trouble with their Movie Listing Page or with entering Corruption Reports about corrupt judges, attorneys, police, etc.  So, when you have a website issue, please email TechSupport@LawlessAmerica.com, and the email will go to Sam.

Project Update for May 27, 2012

I continue to do three two-hour TalkShoe broadcasts each week.  A number of the participants in the movie were on the Sunday night show.

Almost all of my time is being spent trying to process the thousands of emails in my Inbox.  It’s a seemingly impossible task because the emails keep pouring in.  And this doesn’t count the junk mail that automatically gets filtered.

I promised to post all the form letters to be used in promoting the movie.  I can’t get that done until tomorrow, so look for those then.

Project Update for May 26, 2012

I have worked non-stop trying to handle the emails that are important.  I have barely made a dent.  I’ll keep trying.

Several new volunteers have come forward.  I will be sending out VITAL projects to these folks.  Calling each State Capitol and calling all of the radio-TV-film schools are VITALLY IMPORTANT.  I am asking for a daily update because I have to know that these tasks are being done.

I received an email with a lot of incorrect claims about this project:

“Personally I like the idea of making it easier.  Bill is now saying that he has no driver and no camera operator yet.   Maybe he should operate the camera himself and just drive a car that gets better gas mileage and is easier to park.  Or maybe we should just get together ourselves and make a tape and send it to him.”

I am the driver, and students will be the camera operator.  When there is no student, I will operate the camera.  I am driving a Jeep — the original plan for the project.  It gets much better gas mileage, and it turns on a dime and is simple to park…close to the various film locations.

Everyone is welcome to submit a video.  However, the film is being shot in 1080 HD using a professional 3-chip camera at 24 frames-per-second.  Homemade videos will not be of suitable quality for the film, though we will certainly use them on the website.

“I’m worried that he is taking on too much to get done.  I’m not even totally clear what is to happen with the tape after it is shot.  When we started this project it seemed like he personally had more financial resources than it now appears he does. He’s also  saying that the volunteers haven’t been coming through as they said they would.  A lot of things are difficult, though, like getting law professor’s phone numbers.  He’s made these public representations of a movie with 800 victims; how does 800 victims translate into a 90 minute movie?

The job is massive, but I will do what I can…and nothing more.

I have repeatedly stated on my TalkShoe shows, as well as in writing, exactly what was being filmed, how, and what will be done.  I am not shooting tape; this is being shot on state-of-the-art digital flash cards.  Each three-minute testimony will be uploaded nightly to YouTube, Livestream, and LawlessAmerica.com.  At the end of the trip, all from each state will be sent to every legislator in that state, and all from all 50 states and DC will be sent to every member of the U.S. House and Senate.  Then a professional film editor will edit the interviews that I film to create the documentary film.

I take great offense at the insinuation that I ever claimed to have any financial resources.  I have ALWAYS made it clear that I have been wiped out financially by the corrupt judges.  I have ALWAYS made it clear that I have no staff.  I have ALWAYS made it clear that I have two credit cards with extremely high limits, and that is how the project is being financed…along with a few thousand dolars in donations received.

Most of the volunteers have failed to do their assigned tasks.  As a result, I am having to do those jobs, and promotion will suffer as will some other things that I would have loved to do.

Most of the tasks are simple.  I have the database of websites for the law school professors; we simply need someone to site scrape them.

Public representations?  That’s offensive.  I have explained repeatedly that every victim filmed will appear in the movie.  They will not all be featured…obviously.  You will have to see the finished movie to see how it will be done.

“Maybe each of the victim reports should just have a U tube attached to it.  I haven’t made one yet.  I am having problems just getting my personal victim’s report done and linked with my pdfs of court transcripts etc. which I think are more important than my just saying this and that happened.  Personally I’d be fine if all Lawless America did at least in the short term was documentation in a central website.  I’d rather have a good website than a half done movie.”

All Movie Listings will have the video that I shoot attached to it.  Any and all other videos may also be attached.

Anyone having trouble attaching anything to their Movie Listing probably has limited computer skills, as I login as those who have had problems, and I am able to edit and add just fine.  Anyone with problems should simply email; we do now have a volunteer to help with these issues.

Anyone with less than a positive attitude about this project should not participate.  I am unwiling to work with people who have poor attitudes because I have more than enough to deal with as it is.  Life is entirely too short.

Project Update for May 25, 2012

Volunteers Needed

I have just sent out an email to all participants asking for a little help.

There has been a lot of response to this email in the last two hours.

Thank you everyone!

We have volunteers to call the Governor’s Office in every state, call radio-TV-Film Schools, and do some website scraping.  We have plenty of need for website scraping, so if you know how, please contact me.

Be the State Coordinator in your State.

This is a big need.  The need is to be in the capital when we are filming, and help coordinate the participants.  Handle various details in advance.

Because we were unsuccessful in raising very much money, this help is critical.

We need coordinators for GA, KY, WV, CT, MA,  NH, ME, VT, OH, IN, IL, WI, MN, IA, NE, SD, ND, MT, ID, AK, Northern CA, AZ, NV, UT, NM, TX, OK, KS, AR, MS, AL, FL, HI.  PLEASE NOTE — THERE WAS A TYPO IN MY EARLIER EMAIL THAT SAID WE HAVE COORDINATORS FOR THESE STATES.  IT SHOULD HAVE READ THAT WE NEED THE STATE COOIRDINATORS FOR THESE STATES.

We have had several volunteers, so I will update the above list as soon as I can go through all of the email.

Travel Plan Change

We lost our donated RV, and then we lost our volunteer driver.  That’s the bad news.  The good news is that Hyatt appears prepared to give us a deal to film at their hotels.  They have hotels in towns that will cover approximately 100 of our 143 nights.

With the hotel deal, I have decided to just go alone in my Jeep.  I won’t have to worry about anyone else, and the expense will be dramatically reduced.  I feel really good about this decision, but it does make the need for State Coordinators and student volunteers even more important.  If we don’t have students lined up in a filming location, it means I have to handle the entire set-up, run the camera, run the sound, interview, direct, handle paperwork, etc., etc.

Your Preparation for Filming

You need to plan to be at your State Capitol on the designated day, unless arrangements are made for an alternate location.  I will confirm all film locations and appointment times by June 7.  The governors have been slow to respond on our requests for a room in their Capitols.  If we don’t have a room in the Capitol, we will film most of the interviews in the room provided by Hyatt (or some other hotel chain).  there will also be some filming in exotic locatios, like the scenes of the crimes, judge’s homes, etc.

Wear whatever you are comfortable with wearing.  Many elected officials will see you on film or video, so it would be better to not come in a T-Shirt and shorts.  Then again, I prefer that you don’t get all dressed up.  I would say that wearing whatever you wear to work might be best.  If you are a mechanic and wear a shirt embroidered with your name, that works for me.  If you wear a coat and tie to work, so be it.  One thing we are trying to convey is the variety of present or former professions that victims have had.  You decide — wear whatever you choose.  Do not wear white as white is hard to deal with when filming.   Avoid solid whites, very bright colors, and busy patterns.  Pinstripes, checks, herringbones, and textured fabrics will cause havoc for the camera.  The result is what looks like the pattern is “swimming.”  This is because the details of a herringbone suit, for example, will interfere with the camera’s sensor and will produce a moiré pattern which is distracting and dizzying for the viewer.  Solids work best.  Hot colors like red, hot pink, orange, yellow, purple and green will never have you looking your best.  Hot colors have a bleeding effect which the camera censor is not able to compensate for.  Cool blues and and natural tones are found in the center of color exposure values (whereas black and white are at the extremes).  This means the camera sensor will have an easier time exposing the values it sees.  Take notice the next time you are watching a speech given from the White House.  The colors chosen are no accident; the blue drapes were not selected because there was a sale; the president did not randomly put his hand on a blue suit in his wardrobe.  Blue is no coincidence.  It has been proven that blue is a calming color.

Add information to your Movie Listing page on www.LawlessAmerica.com as soon as you can and before you come for your film session.

Please bring evidence that proves the corruption that you experienced, or email pdf files of the evidence, photos, and videos to me in advance (if you haven’t already).

If you want to buy an official movie T-Shirt and/or cap, please bring cash as I will not have credit card capability.  The T-Shirt is $17, and the cap is $15.  Get both for $30.  Your payment for these will be considered a donation.

Over 1,000 Victims

We now have over 1,000 people on the list of those who have asked to be filmed.  I continue to receive a half dozen new requests every day.  I anticipate that this will increase once I hit the road and the project gets covered by the media.  I will try to film as many people as possible.  If we get more than I can handle, I can interview some people by Skype at the end of the trip.

How to Contact Bill and the Movie Staff

While on the road, the telephone number in the Jeep and at the filming locations is currently confidential.  The phone will be turned off while filming.  If you need to reach me, take a look at the Itinerary, and you can figure out when I will be driving, and call at that time.  The phone is hands-free, so I will be able to speak with you as I drive.  I will be posting a schedule that will show when I will be driving and filming each day, so you may check that before calling.  I recommend that every computer user get Skype as it allows you to call at no cost.  I will be available by Skype most evenings.  My Skype name is lawlessamerica.

If you need information specific to your state, please email (state)@LawlessAmerica.com.  This will send your email to the State Coordinator for your state.  The availability of the State Coordinator’s by email will be better than my availability from June 14 to November 3,as I will not generally be using email until 6 pm to midnight.

How to PROMOTE your participation in the Movie

Add a link to your Movie Listing Page on www.LawlessAmerica.com to your Facebook Page, LinkedIn Page, your website, forums that you use, etc.

Create a Lawless America Corruption Report for everyone you are reporting for dishonesty or Corruption.  Login to LawlessAmerica.com.  Then click here to add a Corruption Report.

Call the local newspapers and television stations in your area/state.  Try to get them to come out and cover the movie production when you are being filmed.

Login to Facebook every morning, and then go to www.LawlessAmerica.com.  Click on the blue “Like” button beneath each article on the home page.  This will send that article all over the Internet.  When you recah an article where the “Like” button is gray, that indicates that you previously clicked the “like” buttons down to that point.

Email everyone you know in advance to tell them when and where you will be filmed.  Encourage your friends to check www.LawlessAmerica.com the day after you are filmed as your three-minute video should be posted and available for viewing.  Also notify your friends that Lawless America will broadcast live from each capital city; that schedule will soon be posted.  These will be one-hour shows.

Project Update from May 19, 2012:

Using all volunteers to help with the project is clearly a challenge.  Unfortunately, many people have their hearts in the right place, but they haven’t managed to get their assigned tasks done.  As a result, I have had to drop my projects to do others that are more time-sensitive.

We don’t have the luxury of delaying the start date as I feel taking the trip during this election year is very important.  The trip is scheduled to end three days before the elections in November.

Media Coverage — We have received inquiries from “mainstream media” outlets in several of the first states on the itinerary.  ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox were invited (first responder gets an exclusive) to have one reporter travel in the RV and obtain exclusive interviews, but none of the networks have responded.  The first two of many news releases have been issued — a general announcement and an invitation for students to work on the film crew.  One computer is running full-time at the Intergalactic headquarters of Lawless America, sending news releases by email at the rate of three every two minutes.

Student Crews –Students are beginning to sign up to work on the film crew in their state.  I encourage all participants to help us get the word out to your state’s colleges and universities.  A news release and letter are available; please contact colleges, and ask them to distribute this information to Radio-TV-Film students.

Film Locations — We have begun sending requests to film in a room at each State Capitol.  Thus far, only the State of North Dakota is the only state to respond with a room and other accommodations.  Anyone who can arrange a room for us to use in any of the towns where we will be filming, we would certainly appreciate it.  Thus far, we have rooms provided by some film studios, a TV studio, churches, and a casino.  The lobby of a hotel can work.  If a room is provided, we could work with just about any size room though 500 square feet would probably be ideal.  We would LOVE to get one major hotel chain to agree that we can use a meeting room or the corner of their hotel lobby; contacts are being made.

Mobile Film Studio (RV) — Unfortunately, the generous donor friend who offered to provide a new RV bus for the trip has had to withdraw his offer due to circumstances beyond his control (divorce).  So, we are working on Plan C and D.  We found an excellent vehicle that is available to us, but then the possibility of a much larger, much nicer RV bus popped up.  We don’t have much time to leave this critical item unresolved.  I plan to finalize arrangements by May 27 one way or another.  One of our volunteers, Paul Irey, is producing the graphic design for the “Mobile Film Studio.”

Donations — Our “no-budget movie” has received donations from over 100 people.  Huge THANK YOU to all who have donated.  It appears that we will fail in our effort to raise $50,000, but hope springs eternal.  There are several significant potential donations lurking out there.  If you can afford a few bucks or $50,000, please donate.

Volunteers — We need more help.  On Monday, I am going to publish an updated article indicating the projects that we need help with.  I’ll post this after we see what the existing volunteers have done by their Sunday deadline.  Two specific needs are someone to coordinate the publicity efforts and someone to coordinate the student crewmembers; these jobs can be done primarily by email.  We could certainly use more people who know ow to do site scraping as we want to scrape names and email addresses for all of the major newspapers and TV sttaions in each state; I have the lists so we just need people to scrape.  If you don’t know how to do site scraping but would like to learn how, two of the easiest are Mozenda and an add-in for Firefox called Outwit.

Movie Listings — Everyone who is being filmed will have a page on this website.  This is the index page for the Movie Listings.  This is an example of a Movie Listing.  We will be adding an easy-to-use state index and a map.  A significant number of those being filmed have logged in to add information to their page.  Everyone can add photos, information about their experiences, videos, documents, and more.  I wanted to have all of these finished before the trip began, but we simply haven’t received the basic information from waaay too many.  So, we will now just have to finalize each state as we go.  Each evening, I will ensure that the Movie Listings for the folks filmed that day are prepared.  We will upload their video and link it to their page.  If you are to be filmed, please be sure to login and update your Movie Listing.  Each of the participants was sent a special login and password for this.

Equipment — We have everything that we must have.  We still have a few items on our wish list.  If anyone has a High Definition video camera that they would be willing to loan us for the trip, we could use another camera for the student crews to use shooting B-roll.  If a donor doesn’t step up, we may need to use some of the donations to buy or rent another camera.

Music — Several volunteers have offered to produce music for the movie.  We are delighted to consider anything that these creative people put together!  So, if you have volunteered or would like to volunteer to produce a theme song or do the whole soundtrack, we would love to see what you have to offer.

Special Events — Participants have taken it upon themselves to organize special events in the towns where they will be filmed.  A number of special things have been planned.  We have added Memphis, Tennessee to the itinerary after Little Rock, Arkansas because some people in Memphis want to make an event in Memphis the biggest and best of the whole trip.  So, if you would like to put something together, let me know.  Crowds are good.

T-Shirts and Caps — We have the official Lawless America caps, and the T-Shirts are expected next week.  We will have these for sale at each stop.  the caps are dark grey with the logo.  The T-Shirts are black with the Lawless America logo on the front and the back.  On the back it says: “See me in the Movie” above the logo and “Stop Government and Judicial Corruption” below the logo.  Caps are $15 and T-Shirts are $17.  The profits will all be used to cover expenses of the movie.

Food and Pie Donations –Several wonderful people have offered to bring food for the crew.  Food is a big expense, so we will graciously accept such kind donations.  Some of you know that my wife and I previously drove to all 50 states on two-lane roads.  We saw the sights that most people miss, and we ate at local cafes and restaurants where they almost always serve great pie.  We ate 181 pieces of pie in 148 days.  Pie just works well with a roadtrip, so we will not be shy about welcoming any and all pies.  Tongue out

Briefing for Participants –The trip begins Thursday, June 14.  So, on Sunday, June 10, we will have a briefing for all participants from 5-7 pm Eastern Time.  Please plan to attend.  It will be telecast live at www.Livestream.com/lawlessamerica, and it will be on TalkShoe.  We simply do not have the staff or the time to speak with you individually, so please tune in.  You can ask questions on the chat board, or you can call in to TalkShoe, or we can call you.  A special email will be sent out about this a week ahead of time.

The Basics

Lawless America…The Movie is all about exposing the fact that we now live in Lawless America.  We no longer have laws that are enforced because judges do whatever they want to do.  America has also become lawless because government officials are dishonest and/or corrupt.

The movie will expose corruption in every state.  The Movie will focus on victims.  Corrupt judges and corrupt government officials will be exposed, and we will confront a number of the crooks.

If anyone has ever questioned the story of a person who has expressed the view that they were a victim of the government or of judges, this movie will prove that the odds are that the corruption report was true.  In fact, there are probably tens of millions of victims in the United States who never realized what happened to them.

One feature length documentary movie is being produced.  It will be shown in theaters, on Netflix, Blockbuster, and other such video places, and the movie will be presented at the Sundance Film Festival and other film festivals.

In addition, videos will be produced for each state and for each type of corruption.  Everyone who is interviewed for the film will record a three-minute segment that will be done as testimony before Congress as well as a 30-60 minute on-camera interview with Bill Windsor, founder of LawlessAmerica.com and GRIP, and candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives.  The legislators in each state will receive the testimony from those in their state, and the members of the U.S. House and Senate will receive all of the testimony nationwide.

Over 750 people are already scheduled to be interviewed for the movie.  We will continue to accept as many requests as possible.

The 50-state road trip is planned to take 143 days.  Here is the itinerary for Lawless America…the Movie.  The road trip starts in Atlanta and heads North and travels counterclockwise around the country.  From Olympia, Washington, we will head up to Juneau, Alaksa.  Upon the return to Atlanta, Bill Windsor will fly to Honolulu as the 50th state.

All filming will be done either at the State Capitol, at a courthouse in the state capital, or in a meeting room near the Capitol.  For those who are unable to travel to the capital, you can still appear in the videos by recording your own video or by being interviewed on camera by Bill Windsor using a webcam and Skype.  Webcams are available on loan to those who need one for their interview.

It is our plan that this movie can educate many, many people about the reality that America is broken.  We will expose many corrupt judges and government officials.  We hope to generate a lot of publicity about corruption that the mainstream media usually hides from the public.

We will deliver proposed judicial reform legislation to the governor and legislators at each state Capitol.

We will make room in the film schedule for anyone with a great story of corruption.  Email bill@lawlessamerica.com.
