Georgia Judge Doris L. Downs is charged with Corruption in Atlanta, Georgia — Fulton County Georgia

Over the past decade, my family has suffered three disasters to our home — two fires and one burglary while vacationing in Florida. In all three cases, our insurance companies, Travelers and State Farm Insurance, were successful in utilizing our courts and our judges in obtaining fraudulent dismissals against us.

The Clayton County Police Department and Fire Department investigated the cases and declared my family victims in all three disasters suffered. Despite this, we have not received a dime in compensation for these losses.

My name is Shellie Youhoing-Nanan, and this is my story…

Last week, I posted an article on LawlessAmerica.com, exposing Judge David P. Darden who embezzled more than $128,000 in insurance money intended to rebuild my family’s home after the 2003 fire disaster that my family suffered. He also defrauded my family an additional $6,000,000 that we sought in damages.

I encourage every one to read that article and send us your feed back on LawlessAmerica.com.

In this article, I am charging Judge Doris L. Downs with the offenses of conspiracy, judicial fraud, fraud upon the court, obstruction of justice, insurance fraud, and other serious crimes.

In January 2008, I filed a lawsuit against Travelers Insurance in the Fulton County Superior Court for refusing to pay for the burglary loss my family suffered in 2007. Travelers defaulted by failing to respond within the time allowed by law which is 30 days under Georgia law, and an additional 15 days as a matter of right — a total of 45 days. In accordance with O.C.G.A 9-11-56, I moved for default judgment against Travelers. My case was assigned to Judge Doris L. Downs.

In serious violation and conflict of state of state and federal law, on the day of the hearing Judge Doris L. Downs acted as the presiding judge over the case and the attorney for Travelers Insurance simultaneously. Despite the fact that Travelers insulted the court by failing to respond to the lawsuit, Judge Doris L. Downs later issued a fraudulent ruling denying my default judgment. She incorporated numerous false statements in the ruling, which is considered mail fraud and other violations of the mail statue.

I filed a motion to recuse Judge Doris L. Downs for her involvement, fraud, and improprieties. However, prior to recusing herself from the case, Judge Doris L Downs appointed a corrupt judge by the name of Judge Christopher Brasher to further preside over the case. More than 200 days later, despite its failure to respond to the lawsuit and failure to show up in court, Travelers attorney from the law firm of Swift, Currie, McGhee & Hirs, Michael Schroder, was able to criminally conspire with Judge Brasher and Judge Doris L. Downs to dismiss my case under severely fraudulent pretenses.

As a result, my family was defrauded of almost $100,000.00 in insurance money to cover the items that were stolen from my home. This is a another case where a citizen maintained insurance to protect property in case of disaster, only to be defrauded by the court and their insurance company.

Judge Doris L. Downs is a corrupt judge, and she must be exposed, investigated, imprisoned, and held accountable for utilizing the legal administration of the court to aid and abet major insurance companies in defrauding disaster victims as well as her profound prejudice and abuse to pro se litigants.

Judge Doris L. Downs is a judge of the Fulton County Superior Court, 185 Central Avenue SW, Atlanta, Georgia 30303.
