Cyberstalkers are obsessed, unstable, or otherwise mentally ill. Bill Windsor’s cyberstalkers can certainly be described this way.
Bill Windsor is the victim of the largest case of defamation in U.S. history, and this has been done by cyberstalkers.
Doctors and therapists say cyberstalkers are generally…
…isolated and desperate, have very low self-esteem, and are especially sensitive to rejection. Some are angry or hurt and have crossed the line into criminal activity when expressing these emotions.
Bill Windsor has written that he believes his cyberstalkers are social outcasts. He has also written that he believes they are sick, and doctors and therapists say that cyberstalkers are sick.
Cyberstalkers come from all walks of life, and are often driven by disturbed emotions of inadequacy. Cyberstalkers can also be motivated by revenge over a feeling of being wronged, or by an anger due to unrequited love. Whichever their motivation, cyberstalkers want to control their prey, using means of direct intimidation or indirect manipulation. Cyberstalkers are often regular people with very irregular psychological problems.
In Bill Windsor’s case, he believes a lot of his cyberstalkers are disturbed with emotions of inadequacy. This is probably the major issue with the many cyberstalkers who do not know him. They are unsuccessful people, often failures, who feel better when they harass someone else. And with the Internet, they can do it while hiding behind a computer screen and using anonymous names. It’s perfect for losers.
The cyberstalkers who know Bill Windsor are also disturbed, but most seek revenge because Bill Windsor discovered they were liars and removed them from the Lawless America movie project. Their anger was multiplied by the fact that Bill Windsor now had evidence with which to expose them to the world as liars, perjurors, and criminals.
Cyberstalking is the fastest-growing crime in America. In the old days, you might be mugged face to face in an alley, or followed by a creep in a trench coat. Today you are more likely to be a victim of cyberstalking, identity theft, or online harassment. The numbers are astonishing. As many as 1,000,000 women and nearly 400,000 men are stalked each year in the United States.
What is Cyberstalking
Cyberstalking, simply put, is online stalking. It has been defined as the use of technology, particularly the Internet, to harass someone. Common characteristics include false accusations, monitoring, threats, identity theft, and data destruction or manipulation. Cyberstalking also includes exploitation of minors, be it sexual or otherwise.
How is Cyberstalking Done
The harassment can take on many forms, but the common denominator is that it’s unwanted, often obsessive, and usually illegal. Cyberstalkers use email, instant messages, phone calls, and other communication devices to stalk, whether it takes the form of sexual harassment, inappropriate contact, or just plain annoying attention to your life and your family’s activities.
Cyberstalkers like to use email, Facebook, Twitter, FourSquare, text messaging, sexting, and websites as their primary tools. They sometimes use online dating services, discussion forums, and mobile phone devices to stalk their prey. If the stalker is a sophisticated user, he/she will use many of these means in combination. Cyberstalking is a form of mental assault, in which the perpetrator repeatedly, unwantedly, and disruptively breaks into the life-world of the victim, with whom he has no relationship (or no longer has a relationship).
In Bill Windsor’s case, his cyberstalkers have done it all. They have published over 500 articles, over 50,000 comments, have set up over 50 websites and fake blogs, and have produced over 50 videos — all defaming, harassing, and cyberstalking Bill Windsor, his family, and people he filmed for Lawless America…The Movie.
Bill Windsor’s cyberstalkers have researched him to feed their obsessions and curiosity. Then they take some fact and build a completely horrific false and defamatory story around it.
Today, cyberstalkers can be either known or unknown. Worst of all, cyberstalking can lead to escalation and does so in over 70 percent of cases. This can result in physical attacks and abductions, especially as perpetrators of domestic violence are more easily able to locate victims online who may be in hiding. In Bill Windsor’s case, the cyberstalking by Sean Boushie led to his attempted murder of Bill Windsor followed by physical stalking.
How Sick People Cyberstalk
Imbalanced individuals who obsess over others now have dozens of convenient online means by which to follow and attack their prey. Cyberstalking is a sad and disturbing part of modern society, and things will only get worse before they get better.
Cyberstalking is a compulsion. It aims to humiliate, control, frighten, manipulate, embarrass, get revenge at, or otherwise harm the victim. Cyberstalking involves a disturbed obsession with the target, and a perverse desire to control that target in some way, even by attacking the target’s family members. Cyberstalkers do not wish to just torment someone for a power rush… stalkers want to force the target into some kind of submission and are willing to involve other targets to achieve that disturbed result. All of this applied to Bill Windsor’s case.
Technologies have enabled online groups of anonymous people to self-organize to target individuals with online defamation, threats of violence and technology-based attacks. These include publishing lies and doctored photographs, threats of rape and other violence, posting sensitive personal information about victims, emailing damaging statements about victims to their employers, and manipulating search engines to make damaging material about the victim more prominent. In Bill Windsor’s case, the Joeyisalittlekid Gang grew to be a conspiracy of a number of people to jointly cyberstalk and defame William M. Windsor.
Experts attribute the destructive nature of anonymous online mobs to group dynamics, saying that groups with homogeneous views tend to become more extreme. As members reinforce each others’ beliefs, they fail to see themselves as individuals and lose a sense of personal responsibility for their destructive acts. In doing so, they dehumanize their victims, becoming more aggressive when they believe they are supported by authority figures.
What’s wrong with Cyberstalkers
While cyberstalkers can exhibit charm and eloquence, they are generally isolated and desperate, have very low self-esteem, and are especially sensitive to rejection. Mental profiling of digital criminals has identified psychological and social factors that motivate stalkers as: envy; pathological obsession (professional or sexual); unemployment or failure with own job or life; intention to intimidate and cause others to feel inferior; the stalker is delusional and believes he/she “knows” the target; the stalker wants to instill fear in a person to justify his/her status; belief they can get away with it (anonymity); intimidation for financial advantage or business competition; revenge over perceived or imagined rejection. Bill Windsor’s cyberstalkers are clearly extremely envious of him. Some of the cyberstalkers have attacked him primarily for that reason — because he accomplished things in his work as an activist that they could not accomplish. They didn’t want to let him be a leader as it would take that dream away from them.
According to Antonio Chacón Medina, author of Una nueva cara de Internet, El acoso (“A new face of the Internet: stalking”), the general profile of the harasser is cold, with little or no respect for others. The stalker is a predator who can wait patiently until vulnerable victims appear, such as women or children, or may enjoy pursuing a particular person, whether personally familiar to them or unknown. The harasser enjoys and demonstrates their power to pursue and psychologically damage the victim.
The Cyberstalking of Bill Windsor
Published statements by Bill Windsor’s cyberstalkers say that he is a pedophile, a pedophile lover, anti-gay, bigoted, a tax evader, a criminal operating a scam, a terrorist, a sexual deviant, a liar, a con man, and much more are false, and this constitutes defamation, slander, libel, intentional infliction of emotional distress, invasion of privacy, and stalking. The actions of the cyberstalkers and fear of bodily harm and stalking were significant in the decision of Bill Windsor’s wife to divorce him. For the same reasons, his children no longer have any contact with him, and he is not allowed to have any communication with his granddaughters. William M. Windsor’s reputation as a person and as a business professional has been severely damaged.
The efforts of the cyberstalkers to damage Bill Windsor have been boundless. Various cyberstalkets “investigated” every aspect of his life and reported distorted and false findings publicly. Published statements by the cyberstalkers include a staggering array of defamatory statements.
Cyberstalkers reported details and fabrications about Bill Windsor’s family (including marriage, wife, divorce, son, daughter, grandchildren, mother and father and their funerals, father’s career, other family members, genetics, son’s business, and more. Cyberstalkers reported details and fabrications about Bill Windsor’s personal life (including career, dating, education, finances, friends, health, intelligence, military service, home, alleged personal traits, honesty, age, race, food preferences, income taxes, alleged sexual activities, alleged venereal diseases, alleged pornography use, morals, abilities, physical attributes, travels, mental status, intelligence, past and present business practices, awards, firearms training, computer problems, childhood, associates, former employers, reputation, and claims that Bill Windsor is anti-American).
Cyberstalkers eported details and fabrications about Bill Windsor alleging crimes (including blackmail, cons, contempt of court, cyber terrorism, cyberstalking, fraud, Internet fraud, mail fraud, terrorism, pedophilia, scams, sexual perversion, sovereign citizens, tax fraud, theft, treason, vigilante justice). Cyberstalkers reported details and fabrications about Bill Windsor’s litigation. They reported details and fabrications about his work as a documentary film producer and director (including people filmed, travel for filming, donations, advertising for crew, hotels used, media coverage, topics filmed, vehicles used, photography, publicity, Sundance Film Festival, conference calls, tech support, TV show filming, volunteers, YouTube use). And the list goes on and on. It is the largest case of defamation in U.S. history.
Published statements about William M. Windsor that are false and defamatory include that he is a pedophile, is a pedophile lover, is anti-gay, is a bigot, is a tax evader, is a criminal operating a scam, is anti-American, is a terrorist, is a sexual deviant, has had sex with animals, is a liar, is a con man, is a con artist, is a huckster, created his movie as part of a con game, is conning people, is a fraud, is Hitler, is Hitler-like, claims he has a movie but it is a fake, had a psychotic break, threatened people with physical harm, is a dickless coward, is mentally ill, is psychotic, is insane, wants payoffs from people to not extort them on YouTube, has published complete lies, has published a distortion of any reality, is mentally disturbed, is showing a distorted one sided view of every story, is showing lies, is showing less than half truths, is not intelligent, is of dubious moral character, his business has died, has no significant intellectual skills, is a sociopath, had a woman sitting on his lap during filming in Michigan and was grabbing her on the ass, gets convicted sex offenders to do his filming, is a maniacal monster, has herpes, falsifies information, was cheating on his wife; Windsor and his wife (now ex-wife) are going to jail; supports cold-blooded killers; Windsor’s Washington DC event was a disaster; is a terrorist, has lost his mind; Windsor “has hurt so many through black mail, coercion and has threatened the safety of so many mothers and their children by sharing their intimate and confidential information.” Other published statements that are defamatory include that the Plaintiff’s movie does not and will not exist; Windsor had been making up information about Sean Boushie for years; the itinerary with the movie was filled with pedophiles; Windsor is a sexual deviant, a sick animal, moral-less, unethical, and a freek; Windsor is a psychopath; Windsor was fired for being a crook, is operating a scam, and lies about anything and everything; there is no movie; Windsor is a monster; anything Windsor is involved with is bound to be a complete lie and a distortion of any reality; he is only showing his mentally disturbed and distorted one sided view of every story, most of it lies and less than half truth; anyone like Windsor who is stupid enough to support a extortionist, scam artist, elderly abusing scum like Crystal Cox is obviously not very intelligent and of dubious moral character; Windsor “has scammed people all his life.”
The cyberstalking of Bill Windsor includes an attempt to murder him, rewards offered for his murder, and efforts to get him locked up in prison for the rest of his life.
Bill Windsor’s life has been threatened many times. A UNIVERSITY OF MONTANA EMPLOYEE, Sean Boushie, attempted to murder Bill Windsor. Sean Boushie then falsely claimed that Bill stalked him, threatened him with a gun, and a host of other lies. Corrupt courts gave Sean Boushie a Temporary Order of Protection. It expired on September 16, 2013, but corrupt Montana and Texas folks pretended it still existed, and a bench warrant was issued for unsuspecting Bill. Bill Windsor’s cyberstalkers made up bogus criminal charges and got friends with law enforcement and the courts to put him in jail.
Bill Windsor was put into the Ellis County Texas Jail illegally for 53 days as a political prisoner — held for extradition. William M. Windsor was then unlawfully held in the Ada County Idaho Jail for 35 days and then illegally handed over to two Missoula County Montana Sheriff’s Deputies on March 25, 2015. He was held there for 46 days (a grand total of 134 days behind bars). He escaped (on bond) at 11:30 am on May 9, 2015.
The State of Montana has filed five criminal charges against William M. Windsor for sending a Tweet, publishing the UNIVERSITY OF MONTANA EMPLOYEE‘s name (the would-be killer Sean Boushie) four times, sending a legal notice email to a University of Montana attorney, and filming the movie and the pilot for a TV show that will expose Montana as the most corrupt state in the country.
Cyberstalkers need treatment but rarely seek help
Therapist Alexandra Katehakis also says that because stalking in some perpetrators can be a form of addiction, it will not get better without treatment. The predator must acknowledge they have a problem and seek therapy and a significant amount of support. Usually this doesn’t happen until something very negative has occurred, like the person is arrested or loses their job, friends, and family.
Victims need help from law enforcement but rarely receive help
There are cyberstalking laws. The problem is that they are rarely enforced — something that Bill Windsor knows all too well.
