No Legal Basis for Judge Karen Townsend to Order $100,000 Bond for William M. Windsor

00-montana-judge-karen-townsend-200w

Meet Judge Karen Townsend.  She is a District Court Judge in Missoula, Montana who is responsible for William M. Windsor spending 53 days in the Ellis County Jail.

Bill Windsor was detained illegally, incarcerated illegally, denied bond illegally, and denied discharge illegally.

Why did Judge Karen Townsend do what she did?

The alleged claim that William M. Windsor violated a protective order was bogus.

But perhaps even more important is that Judge Karen Townsend does not appear to have legal authority to set any bond, much less the outrageous $100,000 bond.  This was done with a Bench Warrant, and there is no provision in Montana law for a bond to be set with a Bench Warrant as the setting of a bond requires a face-to-face with the accused, either in person or by audio-video.

Bill Windsor was too busy with trying to get the Ellis County Sheriff’s Department, District Attorney, and judges to adhere to the law to worry about what Judge Karen Townsend of Missoula Montana had done.  He was not at all surprised when he researched the Code of Criminal Procedure in Montana regarding bonds.  The law is:

46-9-201. Who may admit to bail. A judge may admit to bail any defendant properly appearing before the judge in a bail proceeding. When bound over to any court or judge having jurisdiction of the offense charged, bail must be continued provided that the court or judge having jurisdiction may increase, reduce, or substitute bail. On appeal, a judge before whom the trial was had or a judge having the power to issue a writ of habeas corpus may admit the defendant to bail. For purposes of this section, a defendant’s appearance before a judge may be either by physical appearance before the court or by two-way electronic audio-video communication as provided in 46-9-206.

William M. Windsor never appeared before Judge Karen Towsend at any time, much less in a bail proceeding.  So, Judge Karen Townsend had no legal basis to set a $100,000 bond for a man in Texas who had never appeared before her, had never committed a crime in his life, was never arrested, and had never been in jail.

Why did Judge Karen Townsend do this?  The law is crystal clear.

Judge Karen Townsend is closely aligned with Judge John W. Larson.  Judge John Larson of Missoula Montana has been named one of the most corrupt judges in America by Bill Windsor of Lawless America.

Judge John W. Larson allowed a completely bogus temporary protective order to be issued against Bill Windsor to stop him from filming Lawless America…The Movie in Missoula, Montana.  He issued an absolutely outrageous order placing filing restrictions on Bill Windsor when all William M. Windsor ever filed in Missoula Montana was an application for an order of protection against the University of Montana employee who stalked Bill Windsor for a year and shot at him on the Interstate as he drove from Butte to Missoula.

Bill Windsor has named Montana the most corrupt state in America, and Judge John W. Larson ranks high on a crowded list of the most corrupt judges in America.

Why did the Ellis County Sheriff’s Department, Sheriff Johnny Brown, the Ellis County District Attorney Patrick Wilson, and Ellis County Texas judges take the outlandish position that a county judge in the state of Montana has jurisdiction in Ellis County, Texas?  There is only one answer: blatant corruption in Ellis County Texas and a conspiracy with the Missoula Montana District Attorney’s Office.

Andywhy did the Ellis County power brokers do this?  Because Casey P. Hargrove, Clyde Hargrove, and other defendants in the record-setting defamation case of William M. Windsor v. Joeyisalittlekid, et al are Republican friends and supporters with District Attorney Patrick Wilson, Sheriff Johnny Brown and/or Judge Bob Carroll of Ellis County, Texas.  It has been reported that Judge Bob Carroll’s wife is one of the members of the gang headed by Casey P. Hargrove and his father, Clyde Hargrove.
