Day 3 of 143 |
June 16, 2012 was Day 3 for Lawless America…The Movie. It was dark when I left the Hampton Inn in Columbia, South Carolina at 5 am. It was a three-hour drive to Greensboro, North Carolina, and four students from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro were to meet me at 8 am. They were waiting when I pulled up at 8:02.
WOW! WOW!! I was absolutely blown away by the interviews on the first day of filming, and today was great, too.
Wesley Goodwin, Donna Pilch, and Janet Powell had absolute proof of the corruption they have experienced. Leonard W. Giddens, Jr., was the most touching interview of the day as his emotions poured out when recounting the events when he had to shoot and kill a man in self-defense. The nature of the corruption and racism that he endured did not lend itself to documentation, but it was unanimous from the student film crew and me that Leonard was absolutely victimized when he was sent to prison for acting to save his own life. Rod Class, one of THE best-known activists battling corruption, ended the day with a broad report on all types of corruption.
We did not have a State Coordinator for North Carolina (though Jean Taylor-Todd just called to volunteer). We REALLY need one for every location. It makes the process so much easier.

I loved the Greensboro Crew — Eric Szypulski, Meredith Duncan, Hannah Myers, and Megan Adrian. These young people were wonderful. They worked hard, had great attitudes, were EXTREMELY conscientious, and did an excellent job. One of them commented that they obtained more hands-on experience this day than they did in four years of college. I am delighted that it was a good experience for them. I suspect they were suprised when I told them this was their shoot, and they made the creative decisions on set, lighting, camera, and microphones. I had never used the new Lowell lighting kit, so they took control without missing a beat and figured out how to set everything up.
I interviewed Wesley Godwin, Donna Pilch, Leonard W. Giddens, Jr., Janet Powell, and Rod Class. Each of them was excellent! Wesley is a victim of civil court corruption involving racism. Donna is a victim of criminal court corruption involving a DUI that was bogus followed by a variety of court corruption. Leonard W. Giddens, Jr. is a victim of criminal court corruption — imprisoned for defending his own life against an attacker; he is also a ictim of racism. Janet Powell is a family member victim of guardianship abuse and probate court abuse involvving her mother who has dementia and who has lost all over $300,000 to needless court costs and attorney’s fees. Rod Class is an advocate battling all forms of government and judicial corruption.
Two of the seven interviews for Greensboro were no shows. That gives us four of 11 in the first two days. I am worried about Raleigh as a significant interview has to be postponed because Amanda Harris as been called to court on Monday. She called and plans to catch up with me at another stop in a few weeks. Another interview will have to be filmed via Skype at the end of the movie; Ron Reale is a victim, advocate, and political candidate.
The biggest challenge that most of the subjects (people being filmed) have is remembering to answer my questions with an answer that includes the question. So, if you are to be filmed, please practice this. If I ask, “How’s the weather?”, you don’t reply that “It”s nice today.” Your reply should be: “The weather is nice today.” The reason for this is that my questions should not be heard; we only want to use the statements of those being filmed, and to be able to use them, we have to have full statements that are understandable by the audience. Janet Powell was spectacular at this, but many had some problems with this.
The three-minute testimonies to Congress and VITALLY IMPORTANT. If you haven’t done yours, PLEASE do one before you come meet with me. And when you come to be filmed, please bring a copy of your script to me as well as a list of any questions that you want me to ask you. I had to leave the printer/scanner at home, so I need to rely on you to bring me paper. Also, bring any proof. Some of the best interviews have been with people who brought documents and photos that they could hold up for the camera.
I am now the not-so-proud owner of a $15 Mini-USB Cable from Best Buy in Raleigh, North Carolina. I must own a half dozen of them, but I have torn up the stuff in the Jeep looking for one. So, I am now adding photos to each Daily Journal, so be sure to go back and see the photos from Day 1 and Day 2.
I plan to be on TalkShoe Monday night at 10 pm Eastern Time with the first broadcast from the road.
I enjoyed the Hampton Inn in West Columbia, South Carolina. My two-night stay was free due to a donation by John and Irina Hockenjos. I am now at the Comfort Suites Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina. The filming in Raleigh will be done here at the Comfort Suites. Special thanks to General Manager, Sam, who is providing the meeting room and a hotel room for three nights at no charge. My room is huge, with a large stting area and a kitchen. Whenever you come to Raleigh, stay here at this hotel to say thank you to Sam!

The Basics
Lawless America…The Movie is all about exposing the fact that we now live in Lawless America. We no longer have laws that are enforced because judges do whatever they want to do. America has also become lawless because government officials are dishonest and/or corrupt.
The movie will expose corruption in every state. The Movie will focus on victims. Corrupt judges and corrupt government officials will be exposed, and we will confront a number of the crooks.
If anyone has ever questioned the story of a person who has expressed the view that they were a victim of the government or of judges, this movie will prove that the odds are that the corruption report was true. In fact, there are probably tens of millions of victims in the United States who never realized what happened to them.
One feature length documentary movie is being produced. It will be shown in theaters, on Netflix, Blockbuster, and other such video places, and the movie will be presented at the Sundance Film Festival and other film festivals.

In addition, videos will be produced for each state and for each type of corruption. Everyone who is interviewed for the film will record a three-minute segment that will be done as testimony before Congress as well as a 30-60 minute on-camera interview with Bill Windsor, founder of LawlessAmerica.com and GRIP, and candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives. The legislators in each state will receive the testimony from those in their state, and the members of the U.S. House and Senate will receive all of the testimony nationwide.
Over 750 people are already scheduled to be interviewed for the movie. We will continue to accept as many requests as possible.
The 50-state road trip is planned to take 143 days. Here is the itinerary for Lawless America…the Movie. The road trip starts in Atlanta and heads North and travels counterclockwise around the country. From Olympia, Washington, we will head up to Juneau, Alaksa. Upon the return to Atlanta, Bill Windsor will fly to Honolulu as the 50th state.
All filming will be done either at the State Capitol, at a courthouse in the state capital, or in a meeting room near the Capitol. For those who are unable to travel to the capital, you can still appear in the videos by recording your own video or by being interviewed on camera by Bill Windsor using a webcam and Skype. Webcams are available on loan to those who need one for their interview.
It is our plan that this movie can educate many, many people about the reality that America is broken. We will expose many corrupt judges and government officials. We hope to generate a lot of publicity about corruption that the mainstream media usually hides from the public.
We will deliver proposed judicial reform legislation to the governor and legislators at each state Capitol.
