In the past few years, seven chief Superior Court judges have stepped down while facing allegations of misconduct.
And judges in Georgia continue to resign in greater numbers as a result of judicial investigations.
Sadly, this record number is a drop in a big gigantic bucket...

Pennsylvania Supreme Court Suspends Justice Orie Melvin in Wake of Pending Charges

Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice Joan Orie Melvin has been charged on May 18, 2012 in Allegheny County with nine criminal counts alleging that she used her office staff to perform campaign work, according to a statement by District Attorney Stephen A. Zappala Jr.'s office.
The charges, which include some felony counts, represent the largest crisis for the state court since former Justice Rolf Larsen was impeached in 1994. The state Supreme Court suspended Judge Joan Orie Melvin just a couple of minutes before noon on May 18, 2012.

Tennessee Judge Randy Kennedy has been the subject of numerous reports of corruption presented to Lawless America.
Ginger Franklin was in an Illinois rehabilitation facility nearly 300 miles from her Nashville home when in August 2008 a Davidson probate judge issued an emergency order taking away her rights to control her own life.
The order was issued by Judge David “Randy” Kennedy in response to a petition filed by Franklin’s aunt.
